Pronounced [Sebteetank]

Meaning: Sewage Drain. This word is loaned from the English "Septic Tank" which is used to describe the old system for removing sewage. The name continues to be in use decades after modern sewer systems were introduced to Iraq, with a slight change: It previously was used to describe the central sewage disposal tank, gradually this started to include even small drains around the Iraqi household.
