Pronounced [BARBOOG]

Refers to a girl who is a player, Actually it means Whore or Slut. Original meaning was someone clever.

Origin: This word originated almost a hundred years ago from a type of baked-clay bottle which had a long thin neck, and thus was very hard to sink. When dropped into a body of water, it would continue bobbing up and down while emitting bubbles due to the small amount of escaped air. The sound of bubbles at the time is تبربق = T'barbuq. so, this unique form of pottery was nicknamed the "bubbler" = البربوق

therefore the original meaning was to describe someone both male and female, who is clever and can get out of trouble. Modern use is more derogatory.
